Triglyceride-Glucose (TyG) Index Calculator

TyG index is a simple way to estimate insulin resistance, a metabolic condition linked with heart disease, cancer and type 2 diabetes. It uses biomarkers commonly tested for - fasting triglycerides and fasting blood glucose.

A TyG index of >4.5 is associated with insulin resistance. A TyG index of <4.5 is suggestive of normal insulin sensitivity. A higher TyG index is associated with a higher risk of insulin resistance.
